Bayleys Tussock Country Festival is a vibrant, ten-day music festival that incorporates over sixty events and attracts over 10,000 attendees to the small rural town of Gore. The festival celebrates the broad spectrum of country music in Aotearoa and is now recognised as one of Southland’s major events, economically impacting the region to the tune of approximately $2M million per annum (based on economic impact statement from the recent 2023 festival). In addition to its patrons, the festival support crews and technicians, approximately 250 volunteers/community group members and approximately 175 associated artists make the Festival happen.
The Festival is governed by the New Zealand Country Music Festival Trust; a board of dedicated volunteer members. The Board is seeking expressions of interest for new trustees to join the team.
